On a side street in the Seorae Maeul district of Seoul is a French/Italian restaurant.
It's only open on the weekends, and you must call ahead to reserve your table, but these restrictions are in place to ensure your dining experience at Saveur is one of the finest in Seoul.
Picture above is owner and chef Max. If you are vegetarian, you must let Max know in advance of your dining in his restaurant. His menu is not vegetarian, but with proper notice, he'll prepare an exquisite custom order for your needs.
Saveur is the in the basement of a residental row. The ambience is romantic and picturesque. I don't want to make it sound like a cliche, but the interior feel of Saveur is the kind of place one would like to recieve a marriage proposal in.
Saveur has a set menu and there were two options for the guests at the dinner party we attended. There were several courses, and lots of wine.
No other lava cake has even come close to comparing to this one. I thought I had eaten great lava cakes before, but I was sooo wrong.
The best dining experience of my life.
La Saveur is not cheap, the set menu prices are around $70,000KRW per person, but that can vary, so if price is a concern, ask when you make your reservation.
