Wandering the back alley behind the Hamilton Hotel in Itaewon, we came across this open air bistro called Belsize Park.
The menu was filled with fantastic sounding pasta dishes, seafood, steaks, salads, and an extensive wine list.
We were planning on sampling the food at a few different establishments, so we opted for an appetizer and some wine.
( please disregard my messy hair just as my dining partner obviously was!)
I was absolutely in love with the feel of this place. The servers were well trained, the decor was well planned, and the open air atmosphere made the whole experience feel very European instead of back alley Korea.
We ordered a cheese platter for $30,000KRW (around $23USD).
The cheeses were well chosen (brie, swiss, and ummmm and few other good ones that I can not readily name) but for $30,000KRW I expected a little more than saltine crackers on the tray.
Perhaps some water crackers, or even triscuits would have been an upgrade.
If you want to impress your date, try Belsize Park. I definetly plan to check out their main dishes the next time I am out for a special evening.
